ABOUT ME And This Blog
Hello, I’m Minnie. I created and shared this blog because it scared me. I love to write - my journal and notes app are filled with my introspections and reflections on the world around me. But the idea of sharing that with the world seemed daunting. And, as Carl Jung said ‘our greatest enemy is fear.’ So I chose the daunting path. I believe we need less fear in this world.
My writing is about identifying and healing the parts of us encumbered with social and internal pressures. I believe in context, I believe in stories - and therefore, I believe in compassion.
Everything we are carries the imprint of what has come before and what exists around us now. For example, the economic system we live in does not exist in a vacuum separate from the way we see self-care.
The way we approach every single thing we say, feel, and do, has valuable context and consequences.
This is not a critique or a complaint. It is a hopeful enquiry. It is curiosity and excitement for what is, and what can be. The more awareness we bring to our emotions, behaviours, and interactions, the more spacious the future becomes.
I hope this is a space where you can pause, reflect, and perhaps find something that resonates. As my very sweet French professor told me, words only become art in the hands of the right reader. So I hope you enjoy my ‘art’.
